Ajanae Elise Massenburg will forever remain a cherished member of the Sonic Boom Track Club family. Her passing on December 12, 2025, has left an immeasurable void in our hearts, but her spirit, strength, and impact will continue to live on through the athletes, coaches, and community she inspired.


Who Ajanae Was

Ajanae was more than an athlete—she was a light. She carried herself with grace, determination, and a quiet confidence that spoke volumes. Whether on the track or among her teammates, Ajanae showed kindness, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to giving her best effort.

She had a way of lifting others up, encouraging her teammates, and leading by example. Her presence was felt not only through her performance, but through her character. Ajanae embodied what it means to be a Sonic Boom athlete—heart, discipline, and family.

Ajanae was a teammate you could count on. She showed up, supported others, and celebrated every victory—hers and everyone else’s. She made practices better, meets brighter, and our team stronger simply by being herself.

She will always be part of our relay, our huddle, and our hearts.

As a member of Sonic Boom Track Club, Ajanae competed with pride, focus, and passion. She trained hard, trusted the process, and never backed down from a challenge. She understood that track and field is not just about winning races, but about growth, perseverance, and showing up for your team.

Ajanae represented Sonic Boom with honor at practices, meets, and beyond. Her dedication and work ethic will remain an example for every athlete who comes after her.
